Day one as your Governor I would create a Statewide Task Force to Eradicate Poverty and Homelessness across our great state. This will be a coordinated, accountable effort bringing together local governments, nonprofits, businesses, faith groups, and citizens to tackle this crisis at its root.
This is not about managing poverty—it’s about ending it.
🔹 Minimum Standard of Happiness
Every Colorado resident deserves a baseline quality of life: safe shelter, access to nutritious food, healthcare, personal safety, and the opportunity to work and contribute. This Task Force will define and measure this standard—so no one is left behind and every person has a real chance to thrive.
🔹 MIPS – Moral Incentive Point System
We introduce the Moral Incentive Point System (MIPS)—a new approach that rewards positive action and personal progress.
MIPS will:
• Encourage responsibility, community contribution, and personal growth
• Reward milestones like maintaining employment, completing training, volunteering, and staying substance-free
• Provide redeemable benefits such as housing priority, job placement opportunities, education access, and financial incentives
• Create a transparent, fair system that promotes dignity—not dependency
This isn’t punishment—it’s empowerment through accountability and reward.

The Task Force will focus on:
• Rapid housing solutions and transitional shelters
• Mental health and addiction recovery services
• Job creation and workforce training pipelines
• Cutting bureaucratic waste and redirecting funds to what works
